Cobbler Whisky Bar is hosting an intimate whisky dinner celebrating the rich, sherried character of one of Scotland’s most revered distilleries, The Glendronach.
Guided by Adam Smith, Brand Ambassador for Brown-Forman Australia, guests will explore the stories, craftsmanship and distinctive maturation that have made Glendronach a favourite among whisky enthusiasts around the world.
The evening will feature five extraordinary Glendronach single malts, paired with a carefully matched menu designed by Chef Evan White, whose whisky dinners at Cobbler have become a highlight of Brisbane’s whisky and dining calendar.
The Whiskies:
Glendronach Ode to the Valley
A softer, fruit-forward expression with wildflowers, honeycomb, ripe apricot, baked apple, stone fruits and gentle spice.
Glendronach Ode to the Dark
A rich Pedro Ximénez sherry cask-influenced dram, showing dark chocolate, espresso, dates, raisin pudding, black cherries and treacle.
Glendronach Ode to the Embers
A subtly smoky expression with smouldering oak, orange peel, cinnamon, roasted nuts, dried figs and gentle campfire smoke.
Glendronach 18 Year Old Allardice
An iconic Oloroso sherry cask expression with toffee, stewed fruits, dark chocolate, walnut cake, sultanas and Christmas spice.
Glendronach 1993 Single Cask, 28 Year Old
The pinnacle of the evening. A rare 52.8% ABV single cask release with antique oak, black forest fruits, cigar box, molasses, fig jam, espresso, dark cocoa and orange oil.
